Ballet Grand Prix is Scotland's premier international ballet competition — an inspiring stage where artistry meets education, and where young dancers discover their potential alongside world-class professionals.
Ballet Grand Prix was founded in 2015 by Sindy Monson to support young dancers in Scotland. It has since grown into an internationally recognised event, welcoming talent from across the globe.
Under the direction of Constance Devernay-Laurence and Sindy Monson, guests from the professional dance world join as teachers, pianists, and judges — creating an unmatched educational and performance platform.
A growing network of supporters offer prizes, bursaries, and training placements to help young dancers take the next step in their journey.
Meet the Directors
Every BGP dancer experiences a full arc — from professional coaching to competing on the main stage to performing together in the spectacular Grand Défilé.

A professionally judged ballet class led by world-class dance professionals. Dancers are assessed on technique, musicality, artistry, and potential.

Finalists perform a Classical solo and Contemporary solo before an expert judging panel. Trophies, medals, bursaries, and prizes await the top performers.

Every finalist takes the stage together in the Grand Défilé — group choreography performed at the Awards Ceremony, created by Sindy Monson.
